§ How it works

One box.
Your PA.
One camera.

DropSet is intentionally narrow: one room, one camera, one sound system, aggregate signals only. The live music loop runs entirely on the box, audio decisions happen on a dedicated sound processor, not a cloud round-trip.

01
Plug in the box.
Connects to your existing sound system
A small, metal-cased unit with a dedicated audio processor on board. Balanced line-out into your existing mixer or amp. No new speakers, no rewiring. About 90 minutes from box to first track.
02
Mount one camera.
One AI camera, ceiling-mounted
A single AI camera looks at the floor. All inference runs on the box itself, frames are processed in RAM and discarded. No face recognition. No repeat-member recognition. No raw video stored.
03
Choose your music source.
Curated licensed catalogue, or your own Spotify
Most rooms pick the licensed DROP plan, a curated catalogue of real tracks from real artists, with the licence covered in your subscription. SOLO plays from your own Spotify account on a single box — one Spotify Premium account, one box at a time. Spotify is also available on DROP and HEADLINER if you prefer, with the same single-box constraint.
04
It adapts in real time.
Three room signals, four phases
The box reads phase, instructor overrides and (on HEADLINER) crowd preferences from your CRM, and moves playback through warm-up, peak, recovery and cool. Instructors can change track anytime from the in-app remote.
§ What the box sees

Aggregate signals.
Nothing personal.

The AI camera produces six numbers about the room. The box uses them to decide what to play next. Members aren't identified, counted, or remembered between sessions.

§ Privacy posture

What the box does not do.

By design and by default. This is part of the product spec, not a marketing claim.

No face recognition.
No facial embeddings. No identity inference. No demographic guessing.
No repeat-member recognition.
The box doesn't know if it's seen you before.
No raw video stored.
Frames are processed on-device in RAM and discarded immediately.
Local control loop.
Audio decisions are made on the box's dedicated sound processor. Cloud is for sync and reporting only.
§ FAQ
Do I need a music licence already?
No streaming licence is necessary for DROP and HEADLINER, the catalogue licence is covered in your subscription. You still need to pay PPL PRS in the UK (or the equivalent in your country) for public performance, like you would with any music in your gym. SOLO (and optionally DROP and HEADLINER) plays from your own Spotify account on a single box — the licence question stays with the gym.
Does it work in spin / yoga / strength rooms?
Yes, anywhere there's a class with a defined intensity curve. The first market is class-based gym rooms.
What if my internet drops?
DROP and HEADLINER cache about a month of music locally and keep playing offline through a 7-day grace. SOLO needs an active connection (Spotify won't cache). SOLO is limited to one box — for independent music across multiple rooms use DROP or HEADLINER.
Can I change what's playing?
Yes, instructors can skip to the next track or pick a different one from the app at any time. The box won't hand over arbitrary playback control, but track changes are always available.
